required qualifications as prescribed below for filling up of vacant posts by direct
recruitment on regular basis in APSIDC.
1) Asst. Executive Engineers – 9 Posts OC(W) – 3 Nos, BC(B) – 1 No,
PH (Hearing) – 1 No, OC -3 Nos, ST -1 No.
2) Asst. Engineers – 8 Posts OC(W) – 1 No, OC-3 Nos, SC-1 No, ST-1
No, PH (Hearing)-1 No, BC(A)-1 No
3) Technical Assistants – 3 Nos ST-1 No, OC(W) – 1 No, BC(B) – 1 No
The applications will be accepted from 10:00 AM of 9-2-2011 to 26-2-2011.
However the Application fee will be accepted from 10:00 AM of 9-2-2011 to
05:00 PM of 26-2-2011.
The vacancies are available in the following Local Areas.
a) Local area – I Srikakulam, Vizianagaram,
Visakhapatnam, East Godavari, West
Godavari and Krishna Districts.
b) Local Area-II Guntur, Prakasam, Nellore, Chittoor,
Kadapa, Anantapur and Kurnool
Districts
c) Local Area- III Adilabad, Warangal, Karimnagar,
Khammam, Hyderabad, Rangareddy, Nizamabad, Mahabubnagar, Medak and
Nalgonda Districts.
ELIGIBILITY:
1)AGE: Not below 18 years as on 1.1.2011 and shall not be more than 34 years
as on 01.01.2011. Upper age limit will be relaxed up to 5 years in respect of
SC/ST/BC/ and up to 10 years in respect of PH candidates .
2)EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
a) Asst. Executive Engineers:
Must possess B.E./B.Tech/AMIE in Civil Engineering from any recognized
Institution in India. Should have passed the qualification as on 1.1.2011.
b) Asst. Engineers:
Must possess Diploma in Civil Engineering from any recognized Institution in
India. Should have passed the qualification as on 1.1.2011. Candidates
Possessing higher qualifications other than Diploma in the discipline of Civil
Engineering are not eligible.
c) Technical Assistant :
Must possess ITI (Draughtsman) in Civil Engineering from any recognized
Institution in India. Should have passed the qualification as on 1.1.2011.
Candidates possessing higher qualifications other than ITI (Draughtsman) in
the discipline of Civil Engineering are not eligible.
SELECTION PROCEDURE:
a) The selection of candidates for appointment will be made based on written
examination plus oral Interview duly following the Rule of Reservation/Local
area reservation and other terms notified or modified from time to time.
b) Only those candidates who qualify in the written examination by being ranked
high, community wise will be called for oral interview
c) The Selection Committee after conducting interview will award marks duly
following the merit evaluation system as indicated below.
a) Written Test 70% weightage
b) Personal computing and
Technical computing 10% weightage
c) Personal interview 20% weightage

(d) The minimum qualifying marks in the written test for the above selection
process shall be as follows:
OC - 40%
BC - 35%
SC/ST/PH - 30%
Details of Written Examination:
a) Syllabus: The syllabus for the written examination is placed as Annexure below.
b) Hall Tickets: The hall tickets will be made available for download from the
website, seven days prior to the date of written examination. Hall tickets
will not be sent to the candidates by post.
c) Date of examination: The written examination will be held on
27-3-2011 from 10 A.M. to 12 Noon.
d) Examination Centers: The written examination will be held at different
centers located only in Hyderabad . Address of Test Centre will be given in
the Hall-Ticket.
e) Instructions to Candidates at the time of Written Examination:
i) The test is of Two Hours duration. The date and time are indicated on the Hall
ticket. Candidates should reach the test center in time. Candidates will be
allowed in the examination hall half an hour before the scheduled starting
time. Candidates will not be allowed into the examination hall after the test
has started and will not be permitted to leave examination hall before the
closure of test time under any circumstances.
ii) The candidate should make arrangement for attending the written examination
at their own expenditure.
iii) The test will be of objective type with multiple-choice questions with only one
answer being correct among the four alternatives suggested.
iv). A separate O M R (Optical mark Reader) answer sheet will be provided to the
candidates. The candidate has to indicate his response to each question by
darkening the appropriate bubble with a HB Pencil.
v). The candidate has to bring a good quality HB Pencil, eraser, sharpener and
blue/black pen or ball point pen to the examination hall.
vi). The candidate has to follow meticulously all the instructions given on the
question paper booklet and OMR Answer Sheet, else his answer sheet may
not be valued.
vii) . Usage of Calculators/mathematical tables is not permitted. Candidates
should not bring cell phones or any other electronic gadgets to the
examination hall.
viii). Written Test Examination will be conducted in English language only.
