2. Units and effects of current
3. Conductors, resistors
4. Types and classification of wires
5. Ohm’s Law, series and parallel substitutes
6. Connections for lamps, fans, heaters
7. Nickel cells, charging of the cells
8. Functions of step down and step up transformers
9. Electric wiring for individual AC units and central AC units
10. Detection and prevention of current leakage

Syllabus for the examination for the Posts of Helper (Water works) in TTD.
 
1. Maintenance of water tanks (storage of potable water)
2. Maintenance of water tanks for fire fighting and cleaning purposes
3. Laying of pipelines for supply of water from storage tanks to bathrooms
4. Different types of flush out systems in toilets
5. Different types of pipe bends, reduces, stoppers
6. Prevention of leakages in water supply and storage lines
7. Selection of various types of pipes for the supply of potable water, brackish water
8. Types of tools for laying pipe lines and their maintenance
9. Various types of lubricants and filler materials to be used in the installation and maintenance of pipe lines
10. Introductory knowledge of the use of lathes for pipe cuttings and installation of pipelines

PATTERN OF THE EXAMINATION FOR THE POSTS OF HELPERS (ELECTRICAL) AND HELPERS (WATERWORKS) IN TTD
 
1. Fully objective type of examinations
2. Questions will be both in English & Telugu
3. Duration of Examination : 2 Hrs
4. Maximum Marks : 100
