Civil Service Examination, 2012


The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will hold the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination, 2012 on 20/05/2012 for recruitment of various posts of Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Police Service (IPS) and certain other Group 'A' and Group 'B' Central Services / Posts. 
Eligibility:
  • Age : Not less than 21 years and not more than 30 years as on 01/08/2012. The upper age is relaxable for SC/ST/OBC and certain other categories of candidates to the extent specified in the Notice.
  • Educational Qualification: Degree of a recognised university or an equivalent qualification.
  • Physical Standards: Candidates must be physically fit according to the Regulations given in notice.
  • Number of Attempts: The maximum number of attempts permissible to different categories of aspirants, who are otherwise eligible will be as follows:
    • General Category : Four
    • Physical Handicapped : Seven
    • OBC : Seven
    • SC / ST : No Limit

& Jaipur/ Sate Bank of Hyderabad/ State Bank of Mysore/ State Bank of Patiala /State Bank of Travancore or by using Visa/ Master Credit/ Debit Card.

Selection Procedure : The Recruitment process will have two stages: (i) Written examination on 15/04/2012 at various test centers across the country (multiple choice objective type – English language, test of reasoning, numerical ability, office work aptitude). (ii) Skill test to assess speed and accuracy for Data Entry Work. Minimum requirement is 5000 key depressions per hour.

Application Fee : Rs. 315/- (Rs. 90/- for SC/ST/PH candidates) to be deposited in any branch of State Bank of India through a fee payment Challan from 13/02/2012 to 08/03/2012 to be produce at the time of Written Test only.

NOTIFICATION FOR RECRUITMENT OF TEACHERS – 2012

Notification was issued for appointing District Selection Committee (DSC) to fill up 21343 posts. Applications will be received on line from Feb 15 and the last date for it is March 17. The last for payment of fee is March 16.
Exam for SGT, Language Pandits and PET posts will be on May 2, for school teachers on May 3, and for model school teachers the written test will be held on May 4.
The minister for higher education Parthasarathi informed that 1002 candidates, who were qualified in the 2008 notification will be issued appointment letters.

Andhra Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (APTET 2012) will be conducted on 08th January, 2012 (Sunday) in all 23 Districts of Andhra Pradesh at various centers by Department of School Education,  Andhra Pradesh

APTET Result 2012 Date :- APTET January, 2012 results will be released on 28th January, 2012. Results of APTET 2012 (January) will be declared and published on the official website of APTET within 20 days from the date of conduct of APTET Examination. Candidates can access their result by logging into the below website by typing their Hall Ticket number.

Passing Marks for APTET Certificate and Validity Period of APTET Certificate/Marks Memo :-
  • For General/Unreserved Categories :- 60% Marks and above.
  • For BC (Backward Class) :- 50% Marks and above.
  • For SC/ST and Physically Handicapped :- 40% Marks and above
APTET certificate/Marks Memo shall be valid for a period of 7 years from the date of issue in accordance with NCTE Guidelines, their is no age or chance restriction for appearance in APTET, so any one who wants to reappear can apply how many times he/she wants.
