దేశవ్యాప్తంగా ఉన్న 21 రైల్వే రీజియన్లలో ఖాళీగా ఉన్న మొత్తం 26,502 పోస్టుల భర్తీకి ప్రకటన విడుదలైంది. వీటిలో అసిస్టెంట్ లోకోపైలెట్ల పోస్టులు 17,673, టెక్నీషియన్లు 8,829 ఉన్నాయి. అత్యధికంగా అలహాబాద్ రీజియన్లో 4,694, సికింద్రాబాద్ రీజియన్లో 3,262 పోస్టులు ఉన్నాయి. మార్చి 5వ తేదీ లోగా అభ్యర్థులు అంతర్జాలంలో దరఖాస్తు చేసుకోవాలి.

అర్హతలు:
అసిస్టెంట్ లోకోపైలెట్ల పోస్టులకు పదోతరగతి పూర్తిచేశాక ఐటీఐ, డిప్లొమో, ఇంజినీరింగ్లో సంబంధించి ట్రేడ్లలో కోర్సులు పూర్తిచేసి ఉండాలి. టెక్నీషియన్ల విభాగంలో కొన్ని పోస్టులకు ఎస్ఎస్సీతో పాటు సంబంధిత ట్రేడ్లలో ఐటీఐ, మరికొన్ని పోస్టులకు పదోతరగతి తరువాత ఇంటర్లో గణిత, భౌతికశాస్త్రం సబ్జెక్టులు చదివి ఉండాలి. బీ అభ్యర్థులకు వయసు 1-7-2018 నాటికి 18 నుంచి 28 ఏళ్ల లోపు ఉండాలి. బీసీలకు మూడేళ్లు, ఎస్సీ, ఎస్టీలకు అయిదేళ్లు, వికలాంగులకు పదేళ్లు, ఓబీసీ 13 ఏళ్లు, ఎస్సీ, ఎస్టీలకు 15 ఏళ్లు వయసు సడలింపు ఉంటుంది. బీ పరీక్ష రుసుం రూ.500. ఎస్సీ, ఎస్టీ, ఎక్స్ సర్వీసుమెన్లు, వికలాంగులు, స్త్రీలు, మైనార్టీలు, ఈబీసీ కేటగిరీకి చెందిన వారు రూ.250 చెల్లించాలి. దరఖాస్తు సమయంలో అంతర్జాలంలో చెల్లింపులు చేయాలి.
* కంప్యూటర్ ఆధారిత పరీక్షను ఏప్రిల్, మే నెలలో నిర్వహిస్తారు. ఈ పరీక్షలో అర్హత సాధించిన వారికి ఆప్టిట్యూడ్ పరీక్ష నిర్వహిస్తారు. వీటిలో అర్హత సాధించిన వారికి ధ్రువపత్రాల పరిశీలన చేసి పోస్టులు కేటాయిస్తారు.

పరీక్ష ఆబ్జెక్టివ్ తరహాలో ఉంటుంది. మొదటి విడత పరీక్షలో 75 ప్రశ్నలు ఉంటాయి. గంట వ్యవధిలో ఉంటుంది. దీంట్లో గణితం, జనరల్ ఇంటిలిజెన్స్, రీజనింగ్, జనరల్ సైన్సు, జనరల్ అవేర్నెస్, వర్తమాన అంశాలపై ప్రశ్నలు ఉంటాయి. రెండో విడత పరీక్షను రెండు పార్టులుగా విభజిస్తారు. పార్టు‘ఎ’లో 100 ప్రశ్నలు ఉంటాయి. 90 నిమిషాల కాలవ్యవధిలో పరీక్ష రాయాలి. దీంట్లో గణితం, జనల్ ఇంటిలిజెన్సీ, రీజనింగ్, సైన్సు, ఇంజినీరింగ్ విభాగాలకు సంబంధించి, జనరల్ అవేర్నెస్, వర్తమాన అంశాలపై ప్రశ్నలు ఉంటాయి.
