ONGC - Rajahmundry Asset & Eastern Offshore Asset, Kakinada requires Field Operators on four year (4 years) tenure basis, to meet the requirements of the work in Hydrocarbon Blocks awarded to ONGC through NELP bidding. The job demand outdoor field work in shifts requiring considerable physical efforts and technical skills, and frequent relocation as demanded by the semi-mobile nature of the operations in any Onshore/Offshore locations within the country. Candidates who meet the following criteria and are wishing to be engaged on a fixed tenure of four (04) years may apply.

Name of the Post:  Field Operator (on tenure basis for 4 years)

No. of Posts:  245 (including 16 ST backlog posts)
(variable as per the requirement of the Company)
Reservation – SC-37; ST-32; OBC-62; General-114

Minimum Qualification:  Matriculation (Class X) with ITI . Matriculation in respect of ITIs is relaxable
in the case of persons having five years of experience in Exploration & Production companies.

Qualifying Experience:  Minimum five years experience in Oil Exploration & Production (E&P) Industry
Mines & Vocational Training Certificate
Persons having less than five years experience need not apply.

Age: 30 years for General candidates, 33 years for OBC candidates & 35 years for
SC/ST as on 19.04.2011. Relaxable to those candidates who are having
experience in Oil Exploration & Production industry

Mode of Selection: Written test followed by Physical fitness & Medical Examination and personal
interview.

Provisional Population Totals for Census 2011

India now has a population of 1.21 billion according to the latest Census figures released by the Home Secretary and the Registrar General of India on March 31. This is an increase of 181 million people since the last Census - nearly equivalent to the population of Brazil.

India's population is now bigger than the combined population of USA, Indonesia, Brazil, Pakistan and Bangladesh, says the Census report. Uttar Pradesh is the most populous state and the combined population of UP and Maharashtra is bigger than USA.

Of the total population, 623.7 million are males and 586.5 million are females.

However, the population grew at a rate of 17.64 percent which is the sharpest reduction in growth rate ever.

While Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Puducherry has the highest population growth rate of about 55 percent, Nagaland has the lowest.

The density of population is highest in Delhi, followed by Chandigarh.

The 2011 Census report also shows that India now has a child sex ratio of 914 female against 1,000 male - the lowest since Independence.

This is the 15th Census conducted since 1872. It was carried out in two phases, covering 640 districts and 5924 sub-districts. The cost of the counting exercise is 22,000 million.
