Geological Survey of India Training Institute

Geological Survey of India Training Institute (GSITI) conducts a Post-PG Diploma Course in Geoinformatics in Earth Science in affiliation with Osmania University, Hyderabad which is a UGC recognized and NAAC accredited university, known for its excellence in the academics. The University is a multifaculty and multidisciplinary university which has established “University – Industry Hub” for an effective interface between the academia and the industry. GSITI envisions to fill the gap between academic knowledge and field practices with the goal to provide the students a critical understanding of the acquisition, processing, transformation, analysis, storage, presentation, and use of geoinformatics in the domain of earth science. The Post-PG Diploma Course aims to develop skills of the students to design and undertake research and development projects in various fields of geoinformatics independently.

Eligibility & Costs
The total number of seats for the course is 20. The candidate should have a minimum of Master’s degree in geological sciences or geology or applied geology or geo-exploration or mineral exploration or engineering geology or marine geology or earth science & resource management or oceanography and coastal area studies or petroleum geology from any recognized university in the country. The total duration of the course is two semesters, i.e., one academic year with a course fee of Rs. 10,000/- per semester. Accommodation will be available on twin sharing basis at a cost of Rs. 25/- per head per day. Efforts will be made to arrange for sponsorship for deserving candidates.

LPCET (Language Pandit Common Entrance Test) - 2012

Online applications are invited from candidates who intend to take admission into one year Langauge Pandit Training Course (LPT) in Government IASEs/CTEs and Private Language Pandit Training Colleges in the state to be conducted by Department of School Education.
Fee and submission of Application Online:
The fee prescribed for appearing for LPCET (including examination fee) is Rs. 200/- (Rupees Two hundred only). Candidates can pay the fee through APONLINE or e-Seva centers between 25.04.2012 and 09.05.2012 and submit online application at the LPCET website http://lpcet.cgg.gov.in between 26.04.2012 and 10.05.2012.
Procedure for submission of application online:
Detailed procedure for applying ONLINE is given in the Information Bulletin. Candidates can download the ‘Information Bulletin’ free of cost from the LPCET website: http://lpcet.cgg.gov.in from 19.04.2012 onwards. Candidates can submit their applications online from 26.04.2012 to 10.05.2012.
Educational Qualifications: The candidates who have passed the minimum qualifying examinations mentioned below are eligible to apply.
  1. Telugu Pandit: BA (Telugu Literature) or BA (Oriental Language – Telugu) or Bachelor of Oriental Language Telugu or A Graduate degree with optional subject Telugu or MA(Telugu).
  2. Hindi Pandit: A graduate degree with optional subject Hindi or Bachelor of Oriental Language Hindi or Praveen of Dakshina Bharat Hindi Prachar Sabha or Vidwan of Hindi Prachara Sabha, Hyderabad or any other equivalent recognized qualification in Hindi (BA Standard) by the Government of Andhra Pradesh or MA(Hindi).
  3. Urdu Pandit: BA (Urdu Literature) or BA (Oriental Language Urdu) or Bachelor of Oriental Language Urdu or A Graduate Degree with optional subject Urdu of M.A (Urdu).

DIET CET 2012 Syllabus 2012 and Exam pattern:
This exam has 3 parts,sell below clearly.DIET CET question paper will come for 100 marks.Mainly 3 subjects will play major role ,they are Social Studies,Language and Mathematics.These 3 subjects has total 60 marks of weigh age.So candidates have to prepare well in order to get good score.

(a) General Knowledge :5 Questions- 5 Marks
(b) Teaching Aptitude :5 questions-5 Marks
Part II
(a) General English 10 Questions 10 Marks
(b) Telugu/Urdu/Tamil 20 Questions 20 Marks

Application fee:
Application fee cost is 200 rupees and it must be paid at any AP Online/E-Seca centers by providing the details of the candidates like Name,Date of Birth,Father name etc.

Age Limit:
Candidate must have at least 17 years as on 01-09-2012 and there is no any relaxation in age for reserved category candidates.

Education Qualifications required:
Candidates must have Intermediate(10+2) or Must appeared Intermediate second year exam.

How to Apply:
1.Before Apply Online for DIET CET 2012,Candidates first pay the Application fee of 200 rupees,then get a Journal Number and have it
2.Enter in to DIET CET 2012 Official website of dietcet.cgg.gov.in to fill the Online Application form
3.Click on Apply Online and you will get the Online Application form then you have to upload the Photo with signature(Before uploading the Photo,first Scan it )
4.Enter the Journal Number,which consist of 12 digits
5.And finally give the Personal Information like Name,Dtae of Birth,Father’s Name,Address,Mobile Number and Education ualification etails
6.Follow the all instructions,fill it and finally submit it.
